2014 Cabernet Merlot

This Cabernet Sauvignon (80%) and Merlot (20%) blend were bothhand-harvested in late April 2014 and vinified seperately. Blended together in 2019, this wine is dark brick red in colour and shows aromas of blackberries, dark cherry and chocolate. Rich ripe red and blue fruits follow on the palate, showcasing underlying hints of mocha coffee and soft integrated tannins on the finish. Both Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot elements were matured for up to 18 months in French Oak barriques (35% new). Will develop with further cellaring. 14.1% alc. vol.
